Bloomington Health Foundation is proud to announce a partnership with the Local Council of Women and the City of Bloomington to bring Aunt Bertha’s resources to our community.

Aunt Bertha was created in 2010 to offer an easier way to find social services and to connect them directly and electronically. Aunt Bertha has since built the largest online database of free and reduced-cost programs in every ZIP Code across the US– including federal, state, county, municipal, and local resources in the biggest cities and smallest towns.

Now, that network is available to Monroe County and beyond through Helping Bloomington Monroe.

Do you know someone who needs assistance finding housing, counseling, food access, etc.? Visit HelpingBloomingtonMonroe.org and enter your zip code to locate social services near you! The website will be manually updated by the Aunt Bertha team every six months, ensuring listings stay up to date.

What is Aunt Bertha? Find out from the Founder himself, Erine Gray!

We all face challenges at some point in our lives. Aunt Bertha Founder, Erine Gray understood how difficult it was to navigate the system when his mom caught a rare brain disease at the age of 47.

“In 2010, Aunt Bertha was founded with the mission of connecting people in need and the programs that serve them (with dignity and ease). Today, millions of people use our platform to find and connect to services electronically, simplifying the application process for all involved.”
