Michelle oversees all strategic, financial, and operational activity including the board of directors and community development, strategy and planning, fund development, organizational management, and program operations.

HEATHER ROBINSON
Chief Operating Officer

Heather manages all financial processes including financial statement preparation, coordination of the annual audit, ongoing review of investment performance and overseeing office functions. On sunny days you might find her out walking laps around Bryan Park with her friends.

Dr. Dunn is honored to return to the board and help in its important mission. He believes it takes many hands and hearts bring about positive change in the health of our community and he welcomes the chance to lend his expertise to those already so effectively involved.

Josh James

Josh James joined Bill C. Brown in 2011. He works closely with individuals and employers to deliver insurance, retirement strategies and employee benefits. A graduate from Indiana University with a B.A. in History/Criminal Justice, Josh is an active member of the National Association of Insurance & Financial Advisors. He is very committed to the community serving on the Board of Directors of the Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce, Indiana University Alumni Association, Foundation for Monroe County Community Schools, and HYPE (Helping Young Professionals Excel) where he served as Chair.

Doug Mayo

Raymond James

Doug Mayo is a Financial Advisor with Raymond James, Bloomington. A native of Chicago, Doug received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Masters of Science in Accounting both from Indiana University. His prior work includes 13 years at Cook Medical as an accounting manager, and various finance/operational leadership roles including 8 years at Indiana University as Director of Finance. Doug currently holds Series 7, Series 66 and Life Insurance licenses.

Erin Martoglio

Erin is a partner at Freitag & Martoglio law firm. Her favorite aspect of practicing law is helping clients identify creative and effective solutions to their business and personal issues. A Fort Wayne native, she earned a B.A. from Indiana University, an M.A. from the University of Chicago and a Juris Doctorate from Florida Coastal School of Law in Jacksonville, Florida.

Lee rejoined the board because he wanted to help make a difference in the health of our community. He loves Bloomington and wants to see us have the best health possible.

Christal Greene, MD
Bloomington Anesthesiologists

Dr. Christal Greene received her medical doctorate from the Medical College of Georgia and completed her anesthesiology specialty training at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. She’s been in practice for 14 years. She is the current President of the Board of Directors for the Monroe Owen County Medical Society. She volunteers as Clinical Faculty for the IU School of Medicine. She serves at IUH Bloomington Hospital as an OR Director and CV Anesthesia Coordinator. She is currently Vice President of Bloomington Anesthesiologists, PC who provide coverage for both local hospitals and 8 surrounding surgery centers. She is actively engaged in her local church along with her family.

Shawna Hayden
Cook Medical

Shawna Hayden-Riddick is the Director of Global Clinical Communications at Cook Medical in Bloomington. A graduate of Hanover College where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, she has worked for Cook for nearly 20 years. A proud mother of one son, Shawna is an exceptional business process strategist.

Denise Howard, OD
Optometric Consultant

Dr. Howard has been devoted to healthcare and to serving others for many years. She is retired from her private optometric practice but remains involved in the health field by volunteering, educating and consulting within her field. She is pleased to serve on the BHF board because she shares our commitment to enhance the physical and mental well-being of the community.

Debbie Lemon
Retired, Secretary, IU Board of Trustees

As a native of Bloomington/Monroe County, Debbie cares deeply about the quality of life in our community. For her, Bloomington Health Foundation is playing an increasingly important role in supporting health care issues and initiatives that directly impact and improve our quality of life. She is very excited to be a part of BHF and to tackle new health initiatives.

Access to quality healthcare has been vital to his family over the years. He believes providing access to healthcare for Bloomington, Monroe County, and all of South Central Indiana across all socio-economic groups is critically important to our communities’ ability to thrive and prosper for this and future generations.

Tashera Perry, MD
IU Health Bloomington Hospital

Dr. Tashera Perry is an OB/GYN with IU Health and an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor for the IU School of Medicine. A post baccalaureate fellow at the National Institutes of Health cardiovascular research department, she earned her medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. In 2020, Dr. Perry was honored with the Bloomington Woman of the Year award. She has developed a passion for clinical informatics, and eagerly devotes time to system-wide initiatives that seek to enhance both clinician and patient experiences within the electronic health record. Dr. Perry also remains committed to health advocacy; she sits on the Board of Directors for the Monroe Owen County Medical Society and serves as a Delegate to the Indiana State Medical Association.

John West

John has always been a believer in giving back to the community whether it be resources or time.  He stresses the importance of participating in organizations with missions you can relate to and be passionate about.  For him, health care ranks very high in those categories.

Susan Wier
First American Trust

Health care and Bloomington are dear to Susan’s heart. Wier is the Local Council of Women liaison to BHF and ensures BHF can continue their work in supporting the health care needs of our community.

Michael Willett
Indiana University

Dr. Michael Willett is an exceptional teacher, researcher, and leader with a knack for collaboration at every level. Dr. Willett has served the Indiana University School of Public Health (SPH) for nearly three decades with unfailing integrity. Dr. Willett’s contributions over his formidable SPH career includes 20+ years as the Kinesiology Department’s Chair for Budget and Planning, Investment Committee chair for the National Strength and Conditioning Association Foundation, and interim Executive Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs and Student Enrollment. In addition, he received more than $25 million in grant funding during his time with the school and has hosted international visiting scholars to collaborate on topics such as health promotion and equality in sports opportunity.
