Vaccination Station at Hoosiers Outrun Cancer 5K
This Saturday, September 25th, the 22nd Annual Hoosiers Outrun Cancer 5K is being held in person to support and empower people impacted by cancer in our community.
Along with the 5K Run and Walk, the 1 Mile Family Fun Walk, and the 1 Mile Family Fun Run, taking place on Saturday, IU basketball players will be signing bibs, the Crabb Band will be playing, and IU Health will be hosting a COVID-19 vaccination station.
The vaccination station will be located near the finish line from 8 a.m. to noon, providing Johnson & Johnson vaccines to anyone who is interested.

The Monroe County Board of Health Votes to Extend the Mask Mandate Through October
During the Monroe County Board of Health’s meeting this Wednesday, they voted to extend the county-wide mask mandate through October 31st.
This decision was arrived at on the basis that Monroe County is still in the “orange” advisory level, though if it were to drop to the “blue” advisory level, the mandate would expire.
The extension to the mandate must be approved by the Monroe County Board of Commissioners during their upcoming meeting on Sept. 29 to become official.
