BHF Vice President and CDO Karin St. John is departing the Bloomington Health Foundation team this week. Karin has been with BHF for the last 5 ½ years, starting as CFO/Finance Director in 2015 before transitioning to Vice President/CDO a few years later.
Her contributions to our organization have been nothing short of significant. She was instrumental in leading a revamp of our financial function, provided central leadership to our record-setting Hoosiers Outrun Cancer in 2019, collaborated with our Director of Marketing to create an entirely new brand for BHF in 2018, was essential in reviewing and overseeing our emerging grant program, and was pivotal in helping to guide the transition of the Foundation over the last few years. Of course, she also lent her very thoughtful guidance and expertise to each BHF staff member daily.
With Karin’s leadership, we’ve done exceptional work on behalf of our mission, helped many people lead healthier lives, and contributed to the betterment of our community. We all owe her a debt of gratitude for her service to our mission. Beyond her work at the BHF Karin has also been an exceptional friend for whom we will always be deeply grateful.
Karin is charting an exciting new course as she joins her daughter Alex in running the family business, St. John Associates. Her last day with BHF will be Friday, October 2nd.
